Beautiful brunett woman enjoying the immense health and longevity benefits of nature.

I love the beauty of nature; it's a gift to behold. Oh the great outdoors, where there are mountains and oceans and beautiful flowers and butterflies, and wildlife galore, along with leaves on the trees whispering in the wind, and birds singing their sweet melodies.

Such a beautiful design for us to see and our hearts to embrace. It's the wonder of the world and takes our breath away with all it's aesthetic appeal and perfect intricacy.

What Does Nature Do For Us?

Nature has healing powers and gives life and joy to the downtrodden and depressed. It also slows down aging, increases longevity, reduces stress, boosts mood, improves focus, and inspires creative thinking.

Spending time outdoors improves heart health, blood pressure and learning and memory skills. In addition, the great outdoors induces sleep, strengthens the immune system, reduces cholesterol, decreases anxiety and depression, increases blood flow to the brain, and improves learning and memory skills.

Studies link high levels of green space exposure to lower rates of death from heart disease, respiratory illness, and lung cancer.

The beauty of nature is one of life's most profound sources of inspiration and peace from the daily pressures of life.

How to Experience It

When discouraged or depressed, we cannot see the beauty in nature. Everything around us turns dark and dreary; the sky turns black, the gentle whisper of the ocean breeze can no longer be heard, and our ears cannot hear the birds singing through the backdrop of our minds. These overwhelming feelings drain us of all color and sound.

To experience the beauty of nature, go outdoors and gaze up at the majesty of the Pine trees and soak in the euphoric smells of the lilacs, roses, jasmine, and honeysuckle, and breath in their alluring fragrance.

Listen to the serenade of the morning love doves and watch the evening's light show given by the stars and lightning bugs.

Take a hike or a nature a walk in the woods or a park. Or simply sit in a blooming flower garden and observe all the details. Notice the colors of the flowers, the patterns of the leaves, the sounds of the wind, the beauty of the cotton-like white clouds against the sea blue sky.

Or just sit near a window with a view of trees and bushes. Take advantage of all natures significant health benefits.

Harvard University states, "A 2016 analysis found that women living in areas with higher levels of green vegetation had lower rates of mortality."

Arouse Your Senses

Tune in to your surroundings. Envelope yourself in the moment. Reconnect with your mind, body and environment. Live in the moment.

Smell the earth after rain, feel the sun on your skin. Open your eyes, ears, and heart. Savor the sensations. Focus on what you're sensing.

Studies show that spending two hours per week in nature significantly boosts mental and physical health, and well-being. but even short doses can help.

Slow Down

Take time away from your cell phone to appreciate the simple, much overlooked, miraculous moments, and enjoy the peace and beauty of it all.
