Adorable furry kitty with homemade treats beside her and an emerald green background setting.

If you want to get your cats motor running, make them up a batch of one of these homemade treats.

Remember, treats are simply that - a treat. You should not feed your pet only treats. We give cats treats to provide them with pleasure and enjoyment, and to strengthen the bond between us. But they should only be given in moderation. No more than 10% of your cat's diet should come from treats to prevent health issues.

Why Make Homemade Cat Treats

Homemade cat treats are healthier and more nutritious than store-bought treats. Homemade treats don't contain harmful ingredients, chemicals, artificial additives, fillers, or preservatives.

Homemade cat treats should be made with nothing but fresh, natural ingredients like tuna, chicken, salmon, mackerel, turkey. They are packed with protein, Omega-3 fatty acids, and fiber. These essential ingredients promote a shiny coat, healthy shin, and fish helps prevent hairballs.

Cats love the strong smell of homemade treats which makes them eager to eat them, where store-bought treats contain artificial flavors which are not as enticing to all felines.

Whether you're a master gourmet chef or a cooking novice, you can successfully prepare homemade food that your cat will love.
