Whether you're a skincare novice or a seasoned beauty enthusiast, a daily skincare routine is your weapon for revitalizing and maintaining healthy, radiant and youthful skin. The steps involved are cleansing, exfoliating, hydrating, protecting the skin, applying key ingredients, and treating specific skin concerns.
The information in this blog will help you customize the best skincare routine and receive the maximum results from the cream-of-the-crop skin care products.
About Skincare
While skincare is quite trendy, especially among beauty trenders, marketing everything from facial steaming to exhibiting skincare products like Gua Sha on social media, not everything is a good idea or works in the long run when it comes to skin care.
However, you can slow down aging with a good skin care regimen and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and sun damage. You can also treat minor skin care problems, such as dry patches, acne, oily skin with products that contain high quality ingredients.
It is not enough to just have good beauty and skin care products. To increase the effectiveness of products, you also need to apply them properly and in the correct order. The Internet suggests many beauty products, like the best acne products etc., but should you trust all these beauty products online?
Your skin care routine depends on your skin type, the ingredients in your skin care products, and the time of day. It's best to apply your products via texture, from the thinnest to thickest, since thin formulations cannot penetrate thicker ones.
Optimal Skincare Routine for Radiant Skin
Skincare shouldn’t be complicated, it's actually quite simple. The ideal order helps ensure the beauty products you use will give you optimal performance.
In the morning there are five basic steps which include cleansing, applying a high concentrated serum, moisturizing and using sunblock of at least SPF 50. Cleansing is the essential first step in your skincare routine.
Step 1. Gently wash your face with a cleanser. Be sure they do not contain harsh ingredients because they can irritate or damage your skin, especially if they are not suited for your skin type. Cleaners with strong fragrances, sodium lauryl sulfate, alcohol, or other harsh chemicals can strip away natural oils and disrupt the skin barrier.
The best face cleanser I have found is Pearl Powder and Coconut oil, and it works for all skin types. Simply mix a small amount of pearl powder with virgin coconut oil and massage into your face, then wash off.
Step 2. With your skin slightly damp from cleansing, apply a small amount of good quality facial serum and gently tap into your skin, using upward and outward motions. Applying when skin is damp ensures optimal absorption. Always apply your serum before moisturizer. Serums are thinner than moisturizers and penetrate deeper, applying the serum first allows it to fully absorb before being sealed in by the moisturizer.
If you're looking for the Top Serum on the market, I use these two multi-tasking formulas Anti Wrinkle Gold Serum and Cinderella Skin-Tight Serum.
Step 3. Apply a good quality moisturizer. I suggest Supreme Peptide Cream. Gently apply to your face with your fingertips, using upward strokes, including your neck and décolletage. Then sit back and relax and let your skin luxuriate in the nutritious, age-defying ingredients you have just fed it.
Step 4. The next step is Sunscreen. Put this on after your skin has absorbed all the other products to ensure its full effectiveness. It's best to use SPF 50 or higher. Always apply before using makeup or foundation.
Now, your night skincare routine is similar, but you don't have to use as many products. When it comes to nightly cleansing if you wear makeup or sunscreen during the day, you may find your cleanser can’t remove all the makeup if you have applied it heavily. Then you may benefit from a double cleansing. But if you don’t apply makeup, double cleansing is not needed.
After cleansing, all you need is one application of a thick moisturizer at night. During sleep, your skin naturally repairs itself, so a richer moisturizer can provide the necessary nutrients to support this process. Many active ingredients like tretinoin (a vitamin A derivative) are often best applied at night with a thicker moisturizer. Or a thick moisturize that contains tretinoin like Sarah's Pearl Cream. You can also use your daytime moisturizer.
Step 5. This is last step on the list, but is critical if you want all the other steps to work to their highest performance. Exfoliation. Exfoliating your skin keeps it soft and smooth and removes dead skin cells so products can penetrate the skin. It also increases collagen production and is key to skin elasticity and a glowing, vibrant complexion. Failing to exfoliate leads to clogged pores, breakouts, ingrown hairs, rough skin, and lots of wrinkles.
To achieve radiant looking skin and reduce dark spots, wrinkles and fine lines, you should exfolate twice a week. The very best way to exfoliate is with pearl powder. It is gentle on your skin, and doesn't rip or tear it. It is all natural and works instantly, when followed by a high concentrate serum and cream that contains Peptides, Pearl Powder, and Tretinoin.
I offer kits for the products I use at extremely low price. You can go here to check them out.
Apply eye cream - Optional
You can apply regular moisturizer to your under-eye area, but if you decide to use an eye cream, you will want to layer it under the moisturizer since eye formulations tend to be thinner than face moisturizers. However if you select a good, high concentrated moisturizer, you really don't need an eye cream.
I have never used an eye cream. With the products I use, I've never had too.
Conclusion:
If you follow the steps above and stay consistent, your skin will stay hydrated, tight, soft, healthy and young looking. So, create your own skin care routine and go out and knock em dead with your beautiful, glowing, radiant complexion.
