Your body, mind, skin, and health needs as much attention as you would give a infant. You have worked hard all your life, raised your children, maybe even your grandchildren, cooked, cleaned and ran yourself ragged, now it's your turn. Don't give up now. You need a little coddling, so indulge in some of the relaxing joys of life.
Take a little "me time" and spoil yourself for all the good things you have accomplished. Yes, you're tired and perhaps bored of life and you just want to lie around and mope, but you still have life left in you, so get up, turn off that TV and quit complaining all the time. Devote yourself to an hour of pampering once a week and indulge in Pure Bliss. Are you ready to relax and rejuvenate? Let's Begin.
1. Pamper yourself with a Luxuy Bath
A good warm bath is refreshment for your body, mind and soul.
Before you bathe, give yourself a face mask. Pearl Powder is my favorite and its affordable, but if you don't have it on hand yet, mash a banana, or avocado and apply it to your face. Let dry and wash off. I used to use egg whites once in a while. Break an egg, throw away the yoke and mix the white with a fork. Apply to your face and neck, leave on for 15 minuets or until it is completely dry and wash off.
Now, run your bath water and sprinkle a little pearl Powder in the tub. Pour yourself a glass of wine or cup of hot tea, light some candle, turn out the lights and when the tub is filled get in and soak, soak, soak. Don't rush. Put all your thoughts away, and just relax. Relaxation helps you cope with everyday stress and with stresses related to various health problems, such as cancer, depression, and pain.
After you have soaked, get out of the bath and greet your self with a warm fluffy towel! Apply a good moisturizing cream and gently massage into your skin starting with your feet all the way up to the top of your head. Relax, relax, relax.
2. Call A Friend You Haven't Talked To In A While
Friendship is the spice of life, and in all the hustle and bustle of things we sometimes forget those who have been close to us throughout our lives. Enjoy a nice, long chat and talk about your friendship, not your kids or grand-kids and re-kindle your relationship. Embrace the good memories you once shared together, and the verbal hug you receive from your friend.
3. Breath Deeply In And Out
Deep Breathing helps you relax, reduces tension, and relieves stress. It also
helps the body and mind relax and lowers stress in the body. The reason is, when you breathe deeply it tells your brain to calm down and relax.
Sit down on a comfortable chair, close your eyes and breath in, hold for 4 second, breath out. Take at least 10 deep, conscious, slow breaths. Sit quietly while you're doing this and avoid all distractions.
4. Soak Those Tired, Achy Feet
Give yourself a foot soak. Add some pearl powder and your favorite scented oil (lavender is a favorite) to warm water in a large bowl and soak your feet. Place the bowl in your living or bedroom and relax with a book or magazine while you soak. Enjoy for 15 to 20 minutes.
Milk is also good to soak your feet in. It is full of lactic acid, which is a natural chemical exfoliate that softens the skin's surface and delicately reduces dull and devitalized skin. The scent of lavender is soothing and helps to relieve achy muscles and its antiseptic and anti-fungal properties gets those feet clean.

10. Go Outside and enjoy the fresh air and nature
My husband and I take time every day around 2:00 in the afternoon to sit out on our porch and enjoy a cup of flavored coffee (Candy In A Cup). We look forward to our quality time and the Great tastes that we indulge in. Different flavored coffee's, good company, fresh air, blue skies, green grass and the beautiful leaves on the trees create a wonderful pampering session. Get out and enjoy nature and breath in the beautiful things in life, and you will see your health and beauty come back to life.
